Hi! I would like to know how to change the next service maintenance required?

I recently cleared it then trying to adjust the next service maintenance to 50K but i pressed it again it went above it, so i tried to keep pressing it til it reaches 99999km and 9 months expecting it to go back to 0 so i can adjust it to 50K.

Unfortunately it got stuck at 99999km and 9 months and it bothers me

Thank you

What do you guys think about Tsikot.com offering Peer to Peer Car rental or Car Parking?

Tsikot.com is considering adding peer to peer car rental or car parking,
Car owners would be able to list their car up for rental, Tsikot.com would handle car insurance and take payment by credit card.
This would be from a day to a few weeks in length.
We observed there are no services that exist with this model currently in the Phillipines.
Also, we believe this model can also to applied to parking spaces in congested cities.
We have heard that in some parts of the Phillipines, the governement won't let you buy a car if you can't prove you have a space to park it.
This model would allow people who have cars and parking spots to monetise them easily without worrying about insurance and payment.
Please let us know your feedback or observations.

yet another missed opportunity, a 2012 dodge ram 1500 with 5.7 lilter engine, 6 speed automatic transmission.
the customer states the MIL is lit and the transmission is misbehaving. it was brought to another shop where it was scanned for dtc and it came back with P0868 (automatic transmission oil pressure low. upon receipt of the truck, i did a comprlete health check and confirmed the P0868 together with driver door module and passenger door module diagnostic codes, cllimate control codes.
after the health check, i checked the transmission oil dipstick and found the atf low.

it was a matter of the shop tech or shop mechanic not checking the basics. i guess they were intimidated by the complexity of the newer vehicles or lack of diagnostic strategy.
it follows the four "C"s.
concern(or complaint)
cause
correction
confirm the fix.

a lot of shops try to repair first and diagnose later if the swag(scientific wild ass guess) did not work. by this time, the cause or evidence was already contaminated and the ab initio assessment is going to be rendered unreliable.

Hi, Chris here,

Was wondering if there is a link or utility by which I can track all of my activity(threads I started, threads I participated in, etc).

The way it is now, if I have not been active for more than 5 days, all activity disappears from my Profile view.

Please point me in the right direction,

Thanks!

Vietnam’s VinFast setting up automotive operations in PH? -Autoindustriya.com

Quote:

VinFast has already set up a motorcycle office here as a subsidiary and not a local distributor partner. They have been actively marketing it on social media, but on the automotive side, we haven’t seen any new developments yet. There have been some sightings of VinFast vehicles driving around places such as Bonifacio Global City, but beyond that, there hasn’t been much… until now.

What we know is that VinFast is actively hiring experienced executives to fill key roles in the company. Much in the same way that other brands were hiring key individuals last year, now it seems it’s VinFast’s turn to get some experienced people to fill their posts.

But what is VinFast and why should we pay attention to what they have to offer?

VinFast is actually one of the world’s newest automobile companies, and the first homegrown one to come out of our Southeast Asian neighbor Vietnam when they were established in 2017. Yes, Vietnam has its own bonafide automobile and motorcycle brand that has export ambitions while the Philippines does not. The company is under the umbrella of the largest conglomerate in Vietnam: the Vingroup. They started out by hiring experienced executives from a lot of other companies, though reports from 2017 indicate a significant presence of former General Motors people; the reason is that they have a partnership with GM as the distributor there. They even acquired the former GM plant in Vietnam and used the existing GM model (Opel Karl/Chevrolet Spark) albeit rebadged as the VinFast Fadil.

Today, VinFast produces ICE vehicles such as the VinFast Lux A2.0 and Lux SA2.0 which are based on BMW platforms; 5 Series F10 and X5 F15, respectively. But the company seems to be transitioning towards electric mobility and now has an expansive EV lineup; two of which have been spotted in Metro Manila.

Of course, VinFast will have a lot to prove to succeed in the Philippines. This may be a relatively small market, but it is a very competitive one due to the many brands already present here. And based on what we've viewed, heard, and read so far from people who have experienced what they offer, quite a bit of the feedback about VinFast’s models hasn’t been rosy.

Let’s see if their newer models can impress once they officially launch here.

just test drove the Nanobox. cheaper version of the Dacia Spring (which is euro ncap 1-star). not sure about the crash rating of Nanobox but it does have 2 airbags. probably safe enough for crowded city streets :twak2:

feels like you're riding a honda jazz GD i.e. feels light and "crashy" w/ short travel suspension. but the acceleration from standstill blows the jazz out of the water, accelerating like a nissan kicks

the similarities w/ jazz end there. cabin seems narrower than jimny jb74 coz my left shoulder is already hitting against some plastic panel. can be very annoying on long drives. definitely not a car for big people and i'm "just" 5'11" btw

rear seats not split folding

the battery seems to be jutting out from under the car so don't be deceived by the crossover styling. the ground clearance is abysmal. you could even damage the battery by driving over a rock or something :twak2:

i don't think it's safe enough for expressway driving. might be a good idea to spend a bit more for a BYD Dolphin

Braces for my child...

Can anyone provide a primer, tips & tricks, as well as red flags when choosing an ortho clinic and/or practitioner? I see prices all over the place.... some 75k, some half as much. As with everything in life, I'm pretty sure there have been horror stories to go with some procedures.

As such, I'm seeking enlightenment from folks who have gone through the exercise on how to go about this .... What questions to ask, what type of braces to use/avoid, what "add-ons" can or should I refuse, and what kind of post-procedure maintenance services should I expect?

I'm obviously just after a reasonable price, not the "artista" package.... if you know what I mean.

HELP! Sudden Drop in km/l - Poor Fuel Economy

$

I'm not usually conscious about fuel economy but in the recent weeks the change in fuel economy is TOO DRASTIC.

My average has always been in the 8.5-9.5 km/l range. I rarely reach double digits (once in a blue moon) but 8.5-9.5 km/l is good enough for me. Now I am getting 7 km/l even when I had our driver who is SUPER TIPID drive my car. Worse was when I was getting 4 km/l. That's worse than a 2.4 Camry pa :twak2:

My driving habits and route are the same. I understand that 12vdc told me to check the air filter (I will) But I did a bit of googling and I saw some comments that it could also be the fuel injector? I am so disappointed because in March 2023 I just replaced all 4 ignition coils which cost me P25k :twak2:

So my car is turning 10 soon and I hope this is not the start of my headache kasi although it's 10, the mileage is only 44k. 2014 Altis 1.6 G A/T.

The news: https://www.topgear.com.ph/news/indu...ef=home_feed_1

"The affected engines produced by Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) are the 1GD, the 2GD, and the F33A. Toyota has released a list of the models equipped with these engines, but engine-code nerds would already know how wide the scope of the problem is as far as the carmakers model range is concerned. Potentially affected models that are sold locally are the Fortuner, the Hilux, the Innova, the Hiace, and the Land Cruiser 300."

xxx

"Based on the results of the investigation, TICO decided today to temporarily suspend shipments of the affected engines. Toyota has also decided to temporarily suspend shipments of vehicles equipped with the affected engines, the statement continues. Going forward, we will provide detailed explanations to the authorities and promptly proceed with appropriate measures, including conducting testing in the presence of witnesses if appropriate."
