So my little brother parks his car at the far end of the parking lot. On the last slot. He parks it at an angle so the coupe's long door wont hit or dent the car next to it when opened and to allow for access to the child seat behind the driver's seat. The space to the right of the car is not a parking slot. Just a vacant slab of cement.
Now comes this know it all shutterbug and snaps a photo of the car and submits it to the site. Even emphasizing the fact that the car has an "MD Badge" on it. Site admin blindly uploads it.
Fact is car was parked as such so as not to damage adjacent vehicle and shutterbug intentionally shoots the photo up close so it cant be seen that the car is at the end of the lot and there is no more parking slot on its other side.
Ibang tao talaga. Basta maka post lang sa facebook... Site admin wont even delete photo.

Efren Bata Reyes ponders retirement
Quote:
Efren Bata Reyes ponders retirement
EFREN Bata Reyes is giving himself two more years before the Filipino pool legend calls it a career.
Reyes admitted he's considering retiring from the game that has been very good to him now that he's already 59 years old, saying those amazing shots that made him popular in the world of billiards and earned him the monicker The Magician,' are no longer what they used to be.
Malapit na, said Reyes when asked by Spin.ph on Friday if retirement is already on the horizon.
Siguro mga dalawang taon pa, the former double world champion continued.
The charismatic Reyes, whose popularity reached its pinnacle when he won the 1999 World 9-Ball Championships, has not won a major world title since teaming up with fellow legend Francisco Django Bustamante for the World Cup of Pool in 2009.
The Angeles City native, however, is still very active in the international circuit as he is scheduled to compete this month in the Derby Classic events in the United States.
Just last month, Reyes won a bronze medal in the carom event of the 2013 Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar.
But Reyes was man enough to say he's no longer as invincible as before as he's now more prone to losing against younger opponents.
Unlike before when no one wants to face him, more young players now want to play against him - which for Reyes is a clear sign of how much his game has declined.
"Marami na rin magagaling na mas bata, hinahabol na ako. Ngayon, gusto na nila ako makalaban, said Reyes.
Although he's now more vulnerable, Reyes remains glad that it is only now that the world is still catching up with Filipino players in terms of talent.
Pero ngayon palang sila pumaparehas, he said.
Still, the iconic pool figure continues to enjoy immense popularity.
During the awarding of cash incentives by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) to all SEA Games medalists during the weekend, Reyes gamely posed for photo requests by fellow athletes, including the popular mens basketball team.
After retiring, Reyes said he plans to go into coaching, a task which he is now doing as one of the mentors of the womens national billiards team that includes two-time world 10-ball titlist Rubilen Amit and Iris Ranola.
Mag-ko-coach na lang ako, said Reyes.

SCTEX Speeding Ticket
Gud eve tsikoteers,
Ask ko lang since this is my first time to get a speeding ticket and my license taken. Is it a long process ba tubusin ng license sa LTO East Ave Q.C.? My 72 hours will expire this Friday, what's the best time to go over there and is there enough parking spaces? Pag kasi LTO offices walang maparadahan. Be careful nga pala driving over the speed limit sa SCTEX marami kaming naticketan today (Jan.7.2014) mostly SUVs. Appreciate other infos I need to know. Thank you guys in advance.

Newbie help: Second Hand Honda
Hi Guys, :help:
I just wanna get some advice/tips for my first car. Thing is, I have very limited funds and also, I cannot get a manual car. I am not THAT picky with the appearance. I'm more of a COMFORT over LOOKS type of guy. And also not a fan of SPEED so no need for powerful engines or what not.
These are some of the cars I've been eyeing for quite some time now, and if possible, can you guys shed some light on the issues I've read about them:
Honda Civic Esi (EG)- 93/94/95 A/T = I've read somewhere, Hindi raw maganda ang A/T version nito? Dahil daw bago pa lang ang A/T sa Civic that time? I dunno. And also, I think they're saying na bubbles sa roof ang sakit ng kotse na to?
If there's anything I need to know, or anything na makakapagsabi na okay saken ang ESI as my first car please let me know :)
Honda Civic (EK) 96/97/98/99/2000 ( Vti, Lxi) A/T = Honestly wala ako makitang negative comments sa model na ito, kahet mapa LXI or VTI variant. This car I believe is one of the most beloved models in our country, since it's easier to mod, is reliable, cheap and I dunno for some reason we find it very maporma. But yeah, if I need to know something before I purchase this car please let me know :)
Honda City 97 and also Type Z - 1999/2000/2001/2002/2003 - Again, wala ako makita issue.
Honda Accord 94 and above - I know this one is really something to talk about. Although I did say I'm not picky with looks, I find the accord model very sexxxy and elegant compared to the lower-end models. I'm also aware of this car being a gas guzzler, and expensive parts??? To make it worse, If ever I'll buy an accord, it's automatic. So mas malakas lalo sa gas? But please to all the accord owners there, can you tell me something nice about this car that will give an advantage over the other honda sedans? Thanks! :)
PS
I forgot to mention, whatever car I'll end up buying, it will only be used a couple of hours on the weekdays and maybe a short city drive on the weekends. I have zero plans on driving away the metro anytime soon as I have zero knowledge on the itsy bitsy pieces of a vehicle.
So ibig kong sabihin, from point A to B lang ang car na ito.
Thanks in advance everyone! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Opel Astra Sedan/Wagon = Gas Guzzler daw? Mahirap daw humanap ng pyesa? Mahal daw pyesa? Hindi daw maganda handling? To all Astra owners please tell me anything I need to know para bumili ako ng Astra. THANKS! :)
Opel Tigra (now if you'll notice my forum name is tigra, YES this is one of my dream cars eversince I saw an old friend of mine with his mettalic blue tigra equipped with blaupunkt bangers. that thing is such a beauty!)
And also, if ever matuloy ako sa Opel, please help me find a decent talyer at shop para sa spare parts at services ng OPEL. If I'm not mistaken, I think saw one somewhere in Cubao area? Not even sure if that's still cubao, but it's close to Muhlach ensaymda (the main branch) I was on my way to Chocolate Lovers that time I saw a talyer with the OPEL emblem painted on it's walls.

4g63 VS. 4g64
Hi mga katsikot!
Just got a 95 galant vr4 last year and I just want to know stuff further about this car. All the while I thought kasi na 4g64 ang engine ko, but recently i read a review of the same car by Myk Belmonte na 4g63 pala sya.
Haven't really done any mods to the engine yet, but maybe in the future as this is my first project car. So far electrical and cooling system palang ang ginagalaw ko, a little bit of ilalim din.
Actually, I tried researching on other galant forums din for further info kaso nosebleed ako sa tech talk masyado. LOL
I'm posting a pic narin for your reference. :)

'98-'02 Honda Accord vs. '03-'05 Ford Lynx RS vs. Others
For a few days now, I've been pondering on the idea of getting a secondhand car. Main reasons for buying are:
1) So I can leave my other car (Ranger) in the province, fly back to Manila and have something to use
2) So that my siblings who are about to enter college will have something to use.
My top 3 needs are the ff:
1. Not a headache to maintain - expensive parts are okay as long as I don't have to replace them often
2. Fun to drive (preferably fast) - basically something that can hold its own in Tanay, and preferably can do 0-100 kph in about 10 seconds
3. Looks respectable - something that wouldn't look to shabby even when parked beside brand new cars
Budget is in the range of 200-250k.
With that, here are my top 2 contenders:
1. '98-'02 Honda Accord VTI/VTI-L MT (170-280k)
Pros:
+ Fast (148 or 157 hp and VTEC powahhh and rare Honda torque) with solid suspension
+ Looks timeless and elegant - to me, the 6th-gen Accord looks more luxurious than most compacts/sub-compacts today
+ Solid build quality - haven't heard any major complaints with this model of the Accord
+ Complete features - ABS, airbags, leather seats, spacious interior
+ Relatively cheap - cheaper than EK and ES Civics, even cheaper than some Type-Z Cities
Cons:
- Thirsty (expecting 5.5-7 km/L even with the manual)
- Midsize parts (suspension, transmission and other major components) could be expensive
2. '03-'05 Ford Lynx RS (200-300k)
Pros:
+ Fast and torquey, with good suspension and brakes
+ Can do 8-9 km/L, as good as 90's 1.6 econoboxes
+ Ages well - to me it looks sporty but not ricey, and it's subtle enough not to be an eyesore even after a decade
+ Complete features - ABS, airbags, projector headlamps and a moonroof
+ Relatively new
+ It's a Lynx - which means replacement parts are priced like a compact (as long as parts are shared with the GSi and Ghia)
Cons:
- It's a Lynx - which makes me question its durability compared to a Honda/Toyota (remember, in the 90s, build quality between brands varied greatly, and this car was designed in the 90s)
- Slightly more expensive than the Accord
Other cars that I've been considering:
1. AE101 Corolla 1.6 GLi - cheap to run, relatively fuel efficient, 4A-FE is fast enough, but this is such an old car and is only a few thousands cheaper than a newer, faster, more luxurious Accord
2. B14 Exalta STA/SLA - relatively new, very cheap, but only comes mostly in automatic, and friends who owned this car all had electrical problems
3. Mazda 3 2.0R - really handsome, much newer than everything else in the list, great to drive, but of course, a hundred grand more expensive.
I'd like to hear what you guys think, and am very open to suggestions. Thanks! :)

E-PASS Minimum balance will be P500 starting Jan 15, 2014
Received this from E-PASS CUSTOMER CARE today.
What do you think?
January 2014
Dear e-Pass User:
Warm greetings from the e-Pass Team!
In our commitment to serve you better, we have implemented improvements to the e-Pass Services geared towards giving our e-Pass Users a more pleasurable experience. We have enhanced the e-Pass hotline, 888-8787, to include automated services, such as addressing requests for account balance and for statements of account. The e-Pass website has also been updated for more convenient access to account information and replenishment options.
Expect further enhancements to the e-Pass Services in 2014. Our goal is to further reduce your transaction time when using the e-Pass system in the toll booths/plazas.
One major reason for delays or queues in the toll booths/plazas is when an e-Pass account has insufficient balance. The current Low Balance level of all e-Pass account/s opened before April 2012 of P350.00 is no longer sufficient considering the current toll rates. In this light, effective 15 January 2014, the Low Balance level of all such e-Pass account/s will be P500.00. The maintenance of such e-Pass account/s above the increased Low Balance level could minimize or even prevent delays or queues in the toll booths/plazas.
For e-Pass Users with account/s opened before April 2012 and currently enrolled for automatic replenishment, we strongly advise you to immediately update your authorized replenishment amount using the attached authorization form. Please send us your accomplished form along with your latest credit card billing statement through any of the following modes:
