Baojun Yep

Also known as the Baojun Yue

It looks like the Baojun Yue mini EV SUV is landing in PH soon | TopGear PH

Quote:

Wuling has presence in the Philippines under its distributor, GRC Motors. So, if youre wondering why there are several Wuling Mini EVs driving around, theres your answer. Aside from the Mini EV, Wuling Philippines also sells another electric car, the Bingo hatchback. Were mentioning this because the companys official website had an intriguing update.

Thats because the site featured a photo of the Baojun Yep carrying the name Yue. Making it even more interesting is the fact that it says Coming Soon on the photo. So, is this confirmation of its impending launch? Maybe, but its safe to assume its a yes given that its on the companys official site.

Minor car accident

My car no longer has comprehensive insurance. A few months ago, my wife was driving it when another driver side-swiped my car's left side mirror which damaged it beyond repair. The driver of the one that hit my car insisted they just exchange details and not go to the police station anymore to avoid any additional hassle. She said that she will just let her insurance take care of the damage and that she is used to these kind of minor accidents as she works for Mitsubishi. She lives in the same community but just on a different condo property. She asked my wife to ask for a quote from the casa and send to her as we said that we want the casa to be the one to fix this.

After a few days of providing the necessary documents, the driver found out that her insurance no longer has Motor Image (Subaru cada) as an an authorized repair center and that they have their own authorized repair centers that I can go to. They gave me Atlanta Motors QC as one of those repair centers.

At first, I was a bit disappointed because the original agreement was for the casa to do the repair but I let it slide because she told us that this repair center is premium and all. So we said OK.

I then talked to whoever was in charge with the driver's insurance and the repair center. They told me that since my car is a 2018 model, the replacement part will just be a surplus and not a brand new one but is as "good as new". I said OK.

Questions:

1. Was I right to not push the driver at fault to make a way (maybe shell from her own pocket) just to have my car serviced at the casa?

2. Can I ask her for compensation of gas, commute fee when I bring in my car for repair and get it back after completion, etc.? I'm from Taguig and the repair center is in Congressional Ave. QC and the cost of Grab to and from will cost me money.

Thoughts? Thanks.

Toyota plants in Japan shut down because of server error: not enough disk space

Toyota’s Japanese production was halted due to insufficient disk space | Ars Technica

Toyota's 14 Japanese factories all shut down for about two days last week due to a production order system malfunction caused by a lack of disk space, the company announced today.

According to Toyota, its Japanese factories and their 28 assembly lines were halted due to "some multiple servers that process part orders" becoming unavailable and causing Toyota's production order system to malfunction on August 28.

The problem began during maintenance work on August 27. Toyota's press release said:

During the maintenance procedure, data that had accumulated in the database was deleted and organized, and an error occurred due to insufficient disk space, causing the system to stop. Since these servers were running on the same system, a similar failure occurred in the backup function, and a switchover could not be made.

The Territory is slightly larger but cheaper by PhP 765,000, but the Honda comes with better ADAS and 7 seats (it is also not made in China). The Territory is also easily available today (it was released last year) while the base Honda has a 3 month waiting list but is an all-new release.

The Honda has more power (and can probably be tuned later for more, if one is inclined) while the base Territory is 300 kg lighter.

Which base variant is a better deal for you and why?

Replacement for failing Ecosport...

my brother's Ecosport seems to be displaying early signs of PowerShift DCT failure so i guess it's time to sell it before it turns into full-blown Power$hit :twak2:

no specific requirements it'll be just for getting to work everyday, just 1 person in the car, 1km distance from home to work. they've got other cars.

i'm suggesting honda city or corolla but i think he wants to get another "crossover" coz it's the fashionable thing LOL  it doesn't flood at all where he lives

so the options are the ff. no hybrids btw coz those are BS. not in metro manila so no coding benefits. no turbos. no GDI.

1) corolla cross
2) yaris cross
3) br-v
4) hr-v
5) creta
6) tucson
7) CX-3

seltos (KX3) is interesting but seems to be a flop. raize and stonic kx1 are too small

19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China

The asian games officially starts today w/ Bemedalled athletes ej obiena and margielyn didal serving as the delegation's flag bearers.

As of yesterday, the women's football team notched a victory vs Hong Kong in their bid to advance to the next phase of the tournament. They initially struggled to get the W as the squad tried to adjust quickly to the new coach's system.

On the other hand, The men's volleyball team wasn't as fortunate. Their loss to Japan served as their eviction notice from the tourney.

Their sole win against Afghanistan though was the highlight of team history because it's the 1st time a male pinoy volleyball team won in the asiad in 49 years.

Road Rage

***

Sana may platform and LTO where we can upload videos of road rage incidents na makita natin. Then sila na bahala tumawag sa concerned parties for the necessary fines/penalties.

If the other party doesn't have a plate (bike/e-bike) - they can call the owner of the video para mag-testify against the other driver.

Feeling ko kasi, kung di pa maging viral ang post, walang mangyayari.
